{"id":213,"date":"2012-08-01T17:13:00","date_gmt":"2012-08-01T17:13:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/metrix-x.rraz.ca\/?p=213"},"modified":"2026-06-15T01:35:37","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T01:35:37","slug":"new-kodak-portra-400-beautiful-when-pushed-one-stop-review-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/metrix-x.rraz.ca\/?p=213","title":{"rendered":"New Kodak Portra 400 Beautiful When Pushed One Stop &#8211; Review Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In my <a href=\"http:\/\/metrix-x.rraz.ca\/2010\/12\/new-kodak-portra-400-wasnt-what-i-was.html\" target=\"_blank\">first review of the new Kodak Portra 400<\/a> I had one negative about the film<\/p>\n<p><b>Cons :<\/b> <strike>Needs post processing to bring out contrast&nbsp;<\/strike><\/p>\n<p>Turns out there is a splendid work around: Unlike most other colour negative films Kodak Portra 400 shooting at ISO 640 and developed pushed 1 stop in normal C41 chemistry really brings out the contrast&nbsp; and colors. These days this is my preferred way of using the film.&nbsp; The dynamic range (contrast ratio) is increased at the expense of a slightly decreased latitude.
